Amitabh Bachchan's early days were marked by a lot of struggle and hardship. He was born in 1942 in Allahabad, India, to a well-known poet, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, and his wife, Teji Bachchan.
Despite his family's literary and cultural background, Bachchan faced numerous challenges in his pursuit of a career in acting. After completing his education, he worked as a freight broker in Kolkata and also tried his hand at modelling and appearing in advertisements.
He made his film debut in 1969 with the film Saat Hindustani, but it failed to create any impact at the box office. It was not until his breakthrough performance in the 1973 film Zanjeer that Bachchan began to make a name for himself in the Hindi film industry.
