Amitabh Bachchan, one of the most celebrated actors in Indian cinema, is married to Jaya Bachchan. Jaya Bachchan, also known by her birth name Jaya Bhaduri, is an accomplished actress and a member of the Indian Parliament.


Jaya Bachchan was born on April 9, 1948, in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. She grew up in a family that valued education and the arts, and her parents encouraged her to pursue her passion for acting. She made her debut in the film industry with the Bengali film, Mahanagar (1963) at the age of 15.


Jaya Bachchan's Bollywood debut was with the film, Guddi (1971), which was a huge success.
